Some of you may have an old childhood friend that never left the old neighborhood. He’s like a gem. His very existence is the old neighborhood. He is the repository of all good memories of a time when living did not equate to complications and frustration.
And whenever you get tired of the rat race or the ideology race or the Black Race or the White Race (see my Substack article, Why I hate Black People. Why I hate White people), or the political race or the gender race, you can go back to the old hood, visit that friend, and totally cool out. You’re back home.
Well, I got a buddy like that: Willie Bobo. When I saw the Jeremy’s Chocolate commercial for the first time today, I wondered what Willie would think about it. So, I immediately drove to Willie’s crib, in the old hood, took out my laptop, showed Willie the commercial, and said, “Talk to me, Willie. What do you think about the commercial, the product, and the message? Is it cool?” Willie replied,
Upon that approval from Willie, I immediately ordered 20 Jeremy Chocolate bars—10 SheHer bars and 10 HeHim bars (Not necessarily in that order…ahem). Can’t go wrong with an approval from Willie!!!
